Minnesota Education Fairs (MEFS). MEFs, or Minnesota Education Fairs, are college fairs that take place in high schools throughout the state. The MEFs are the result of a collaborative effort between MACAC, postsecondary public and private schools, and high school. Attendees include college representatives from the midwest, as well as some other states. Minnesota National Fair. Minnesota National Fair. The Minnesota National Fair is held in Minneapolis each fall and is one of the biggest fairs. It attracts over 300 colleges and universities. Workshops are also offered on topics such as writing college applications, comparing colleges, and financial aid. Some secondary schools provide transportation for their students to attend the fair. During the times listed, students and parents are welcomed. The National College Fair will be free to attend and open to all. National College Fairs, sponsored by NACAC and regional associations such as MACAC, are held annually in locations across the nation.
