The Lakeland Rifle and Pistol Club sponsors the premier gun show in Lakeland Florida, called "The Central Florida Gun Show". This gun show is one of the largest gun shows in the Southeast, with approximately 150 exhibitors and up to 300 tables. The gun show takes place three times per year, in January, May and September.
Central Florida Gun Show began at the Lake Mirror Center, with 100 tables. We had to move the show to Massachusetts Avenue Airport because we quickly reached over 250 tables. Our members were loyal and dedicated to the gun shows despite the lack of air conditioning. They volunteered their time, despite the fact that there was no air conditioner. The Central Florida Gun Show moved to The Lakeland Center after the Lakeland Center was completed. It quickly grew in size and became the largest gun show in the area.
In order to accommodate our guests and exhibitors, we decided to move the show to the SUN 'n FUN Expo Campus located on the southside of the Lakeland Linder Int'l. Airport. We have the option to expand to up to 1,000+ table if necessary. The move was made in January 2019 and received well by everyone. Yes, there's air conditioning.
