We would like to invite to the Social Policy Almedal Week, Sweden's largest gathering of sociologists! Discussions about the future of social work and current problems.The social work field is under severe strain - the resources of social services are being diverted to gang crimes as a result of a more difficult social climate.

In the future, we see a completely different profession with new legislation that includes reporting obligations, changes in confidentiality and political initiatives reshaping sociologist training. What does a new social services act mean to you and your job?

I hope you have the opportunity to be inspired, to make new contacts and to explore questions important to your career during these two days. The Academic Union SSR is organizing the Sociology Days for the 20th consecutive year. The association uses the event to bring together researchers, practitioners and other experts for discussions on current issues.
