AAPM is committed to its mission of advancing the science, education and practice of medical physics. It does this by fostering education and the professional development of medical physicists through various meetings that are held throughout the calendar year.

The Spring Clinical Meeting is a practical meeting that provides information to medical physicists on how to integrate new technologies in the clinical setting, stay abreast of regulatory issues and accreditation requirements. It also offers a forum where ideas can be exchanged for practice quality improvement. The ACMP annual conference was previously called this event.

The AAPM Summer School is a popular opportunity to study intensively the AAPM curriculum.The informal discussion of a broad medical physics subject in a non-formal setting provides a unique opportunity to build national networks.collegiality.
